A review of Côte Brasserie by DIANE written on Tuesday 27th of September 2005
WENT TO THE NEW CHAPELFIELDS MALL ON SATURDAY, HAVING ONLY OPENED ON WEDNESDAY. WENT INTO GARFUNKEL'S ON THEIR FOOD COURT. SAT FOR HALF AN HOUR BEFORE OUR ORDER WAS TAKEN, WHICH WAS THEN PROMPTLY LOST ! ONE OF THE MANAGERS NOTICED HOW LONG WE HAD SAT AND TOOK OUR ORDER YET AGAIN AND KINDLY OFFERED IT ON THE HOUSE. THIS WOULD'VE APPEASED US IF THE FOOD HADN'T TURNED UP LUKE WARM. WE COULD'VE RETURNED IT BUT HAVING SAT FOR SO LONG WE REALLY COULDN'T BE BOTHERED. I HAVE BEEN TO ANOTHER OF YOUR RESTAURANTS IN THE PAST AND HAD NO PROBLEMS I CAN ONLY THINK THIS WAS DUE TO THE NEWNESS OF THE VENTURE. BUT DO FEEL THAT ORGANISED CHAOS IS NOT THE WAY TO OBTAIN A GOOD REPUTATION. OTHER PEOPLE DID WALK OUT DUE TO THE LACK OF ATTENTION FROM THE STAFF. I THOUGHT I SHOULD SEND THIS MISSIVE IN THE HOPE THAT MY COMMENTS MIGHT MAKE A DIFFERENCE TO HOW THAT ESTABLISHMENT OPERATES IN THE FUTURE !.
