A review of Hat & Feathers by Mr. Keckler written on Thursday 7th of April 2005
I would just like to say that i am a local of the Hat and since the new landlord has taken over the place is so much better that you wouldn't believe. It is a younger gentleman with a beard who goes by the name of Sean and his staff have all been trained to be polite and prompt (two neccessary features of barstaff i feel). The place is split into two sections, a quite area where you can go, drink the ales and read the paper (of which they get two or three everyday) and a louder section with a projection screen TV which he told me he will show ANY sport so long as it is requested, for instance Premiership football to darts. The food has come on leaps and bounds with a new continental chief and a new menu to suit. The prices are standard Cambridge town prices with some promotions running. There is a huge beer garden at the back, so why not pop in this summer..
