A review of Barclays Bank by Nattypurl written on Wednesday 15th of September 2004
I recently got involved in a holiday fiasco. What happened was we got our luggage stolen at Bangkok airport and were not able to get it back for a week while the local police messed us around. The luggage had all our clothes, money and valuables in at the time and we were basically left stranded. Luckily I had taken out holiday insurance with Barclays and we could get some money to buy new things while we were there and book into a cheap hotel, so that our holiday wasn’t a nightmare.
We were booked out there for three months and it would have been a complete nightmare if we had had to go without a change of clothes and somewhere to stay. I am eighteen and not born to rich parents, so when the chance to travel for my gap year cam along I took it. I am all for living rough and living real, but I have to admit if I had another night like that I was scared stiff. The holiday insurance package covered us for loss and theft and got us into accommodation within the first night. It was great and very relieving. I recommend this holiday insurance to any gap year students or anyone else..
