A review of Bus Station - Stagecoach Cambus by Angela written on Thursday 2nd of September 2004
This morning(2.9.04)at 8.55am I entered Magdalene Street from Jesus Lane following a single decker red bus registration AE 51 RZS. The bus went past the bus shelters where it would normally stop and then halted opposite the pastry shop just before the bollards on a no stoppong area. Thinking he had a passenger who had forgotton to get off I waited patiently as I saw one man get off. However the bus was stationary for 5 minutes (I timed him) and to my astonishment the same man came back and got on the bus holding a cup of coffee!!!!
My problem was that he was parked with the tail of the bus across the entrance to our car park at St John's College!
This area of the centre is a congested area anyway and this thoughtless and illegal act by the bus driver could have had serious implications should an emergency vehicle have had need to pass and in addition he caused me to be late for work.
I hope the driver who will know who he is - thinks twice before repeating this action.
