A review of The Panton Arms by Anonymous written on Thursday 5th of August 2004
I've been visting the Panton Arms for several years. It has a charming atmosphere due to the location and outdoor court yard coupled with the relaxed and friendly staff.
Recently after a change of management I have found myself pulling out my hair and finally throwing in the towel.
Constant staff changes coupled with incredibly slow service for both food and drink has lead me to look for a new haunt to frequent, and I'm not alone.
I feel sorry for the single bar maid who is not just serving bar drinks, taking food orders, accepting card payment, serving the food both inside and outside and clearing plates at the same time. I don't want to wait 20 minutes for a lunch time pint.
It would also be nice if the staff could speak English and smile instead of looking so stressed. There is no one to complain too, where is the manager.
