A review of Anglia Ruskin University by J. Haymer written on Monday 24th of March 2003
I studied Business Economics at this university and I thoroughly recommend the course and the lecturers.
The university itself however is laughably disorganised. Year after year, they make the same mistakes over again, and people in power make some really stupid decisions. I might mention some of these in future posts.
But the course itself was a great combination of economic theory modules and practical business modules. Lots of useful knowledge if you're thinking of becoming an entrepreneur.
I also appreciate having a deeper understanding of the economic issues which face governments (and an awareness of some of the tricks they use to deceive the public).
Some of the teachers in particular were very helpful. Dr David Dyer who was my tutor is a very positive helpful man. Stuart Wall is perhaps the greatest teacher I have encountered. Steve Ison was very funny in lectures and a good teacher too. I am grateful to them all..
