A review of Warner Brothers Cinema by Natasha written on Tuesday 29th of June 2004
I'm a huge Harry Potter fan, and can understand perfectly why so many people from all around the world would want to have the opportunity to audition for such an amazing film.
There are a few huge issues that people tend to overlook, (and PLEASE keep in mind that I am not out to try and insult anybody or anything of that sort, I'm just putting forward logical issues.)
For one, many of the people wanting to audition have never had any sort of dramatic training in their life, (again, not saying that you haven't if you have, just stating a fact!), and therein lies problem number one. They just can't hire people who have never even taken a drama class at school!
Problem number two, I know it seems unimportant to most of the people wanting to audition, but money. Has anyone actually considered the COST of getting to England for the audition; for the filming? There's the plane ticket, transportation, accomodation, (which is very expensive in England), and of course, if you are under 18 you must have a guardian to supervise you. How would you come up with the thousands and thousands of dollars, (keeping in mind that it would be converted to pounds and probably equal less), to pay for this?
It's just something to be considered, and I believe that Warner Brothers have considered this when they made their decision not to cast outside the United Kingdom.Thinking about it, it really is just a common sense thing.
Please just consider this, there's no need to fire insults at me, because I'm only speaking facts, which you would have to face anyway. Again, I'm not trying to insult people or anything, just put forward the issues. .
