A review of Henrys Cafe Bar by Perry estelle written on Tuesday 18th of May 2004
Henry's has much more to offer than a quayside bar in my view. It's has magical quality that lifts you from your doldrums as soon as you walk in. There is a cosmopolitan atmosphere that helps you drink your head off to some other beautiful city in the world. You could be in Paris or Prague! Lovely breath catching surroundings with large riverside views watching all the frolics of inept punting as you sit in the the pampering comfort of ambience. I engaged in a fairly well priced but nonetheless quite exotic menu. People spill out onto the Quayside Square ina scatter of seating while staff breeze from table to table attentively. Great for events and your birthday or anniversary. The stunning waitresses and handsome barstaff with their professional charm soon made me wish I was a few years younger and the reassuringly chilled beer was served as if I was flying business class behind the blue curtain. Classy, aesthetic and very relaxing. Nothing negative to say about it except I wish I was still there..
