I HAVE KNOWN AND LOVED THE VARSITY FOR OVER 30 YEARS AND IT WAS A PLEASANT SURPRISE TO SEE THAT THE ORIGINAL OWNER'S SON HAS TAKEN OVER AT THE HELM.

ALTHOUGH THE INTERIOR HAS BEEN TOTALLY REFURBISHED VERY TASTEFULLY, THE OVERALL AMBIANCE HAS REMAINED THE SAME, WITH THE SAME FRIENDLY AND EFFICIENT SERVICE.

THE FOOD HAS OF COURSE CHANGED WITH MORE EMPHASIS ON HEALTHY EATING AND VALUE FOR MONEY. TRY THE FILLET STEAK! IT IS GREAT, AS IS THE MONKFISH OR THE MEZE.

IN FACT, GUESTS WHO FREQUENTED THE VARSITY EONS AGO STILL VISIT THE PLACE EVEN NOW WHEN THEY POP IN TO CAMBRIDGE FOR A HOLIDAY OR TO SEE FRIENDS.
