"Maplin - inside scoop"

I'm a Maplin employee and i can tell you all first hand that we lowly shop workers are much more customer service orientated than our dixons/pc world counterparts. In our regular training sessions, far more emphasis is placed on good customer care than extracting every cold hard scrap of cash from every puinter that walks through the door, unlike comet/curry's etc. And another thing - the vast majority of my colleagues have an electronics/computing background, and contrary to some peoples beliefs we do know our stuff - unlike dixons/pc world/curry's/comet/argos employees (tis a generalisation sure enough but it comes from personal experience). If you buy something from Maplin, rest assured you'll be able to pay for it and make your way home without spending 20 minutes explaining why you dont want to take advantage of an extortionate extended warranty...

By the way, its MAPLIN. not MAPLINS..
