"Reminicent of restaurant china town"

A review of Charlie Chan by Michael Kibblewhite written on Friday 30th of January 2004

The restaurant has that aura where the experience is based purely on food. Although I acknowledge that the restaurant has a clean feeling decor, what overwhelmes me in antipation prior to dining there is that I will experience some good quality, digeestible and albeit fairly authentic chinese food, unlike so much of the chuck-away chineses so common and the mutton dressed as lamb restuarants familiar to the home counties fringe. Look out for lunchtime dim sum: this is slim in choice yet very fresh. Expect to pay £15 per head..
