"Maplin Advice"

A review of Maplin Electronics by A Maplin Manager written on Sunday 11th of January 2004

Whilst I would agree with the comments you make about 'The Fuse'.....I would personally have brought this matter to the attention of the Store Manager so that he/she could investigate.

It may be that the sales person was new and inexperienced, I do agree that they should not be giving advice if they are not sure of the facts though.

It appears that this is a training issue, which may only become apparent if it is pointed out to the Management.

Maplin staff, generally have a wide knowledge of the products sold in thir stores, but usually have particular 'experts' on certain subjects...I.E...a person who has a wide knowledge of Computer networking, should not ideally be giving advice on Disco amplifiers if their knowledge is limited in that area....non of us can be expected to be a master of all trades !!
