A review of Midsummer House by Peter Smith written on Monday 24th of November 2003
Midsummer House restaurant is Cambridge's best kept secret. As a client of the finest restaurants in London, I normally do not venture into the countryside however having been invited by friends I accepted and did not even imagine what awaited. Set in a charming Victorian house which is nestled at the edge of Midsummer Common one is greeted by very warm and professional staff who make you feel immediately welcome. The food which arrives on the plate is an art form beautiful to look at and sensational to taste. This is complimented by an extensive wine list created to accompany the menu to perfection. Having eaten in many top restaurants worldwide, I would recommend Midsummer House without hesitation. .
