"Tandy go to Maplin?"

A review of Maplin Electronics by Kenneth Munn written on Tuesday 23rd of September 2003

My local Maplin store is 15 miles in away Glasgow and seems not quite next door with my bus pass.

They are always courteous and seem to know about the things they sell and will discuss its suitability for one's purpose.

There was a branch of Tandy in my town whose closure was lamented by many experimenters in the Paisley area. I always got polite and interested service and their products were reliable.

Scanning their latest catalogue, Maplin seem to have taken over much of the Tandy range where it complements theirs.

Of cours, perfection would be served if Maplin opened a shop in Paisley. After all, it now has a University.
