I am very disappointed by the quality of the picket fence installed on my property, both in terms of the material used, and more especially the shoddy quality of the workmanship. The horizontals are clearly bowed, the pick posts were not vertical, and a couple of slats were not properly fastened. The fence was installed with great speed and obviously not enough care was taken. Someone returned to improve the obvious faults, but the overall impression remained poor. The most glaring omission was of a gravel board: this was promised by the clearly knowledgeable and experienced person who came to estimate. I was told at the time of building that it would not be possible to install one because of the underlying conifer stumps, and some of the slats were cut short to accommodate these. Without a retaining structure to hold back the earth it would have been difficult to achieve any sort of planting, so I have just had to employ a tradesperson to install a gravel board, which he was able to do by simply cutting away small portions of the stumps, in contradiction to what I was told at the time of construction.
I also noted afterwards that a Facebook photo of the completed fence was posted on your Facebook site. As a matter of privacy and courtesy, I think my permission should have been sought.
I will not be recommending your company in the future..
