We stayed at Villas Marisposas, a Vintage Travel rental villas in Tamariu on the Spanish Costa Brava in August 2013. The booking process and assistance with Vintage before leaving the UK were very good, but unfortunately during our stay we were burgled twice (only to later discover that this wasn't the first time guests had been burgled at this villa. Whilst it isn't the fault of Vintage travel that crime rates are on the increase in the Costa Brava, I feel strongly that they could improve security at this villa and indeed all of their rentals - including safety deposit boxes as standard, safer storage of the key on arrival, use of burglar alarms that are already installed and better maintenance of the perimeter fences of their villas.

On our return to the UK, despite contact with the MD, Steve Eccles, we found his tone rather nonchalant and totally uncaring for the stress caused by experiencing two burglaries in the space of one week in one of his villas.

Would I use Vintage Travel again? - absolutely not and would I recommend to friends? again absolutely not..
