"Be warned - 3 warranty not worth the paper it is written on"

I bought an electrical item from ALDI in Jan 2013. It broke within 6 months. The store I bought it from said that after 60 days from purchase any faults are the responsibility of the after sales co. The after sales co told me that they are not the manufacturer of the product and would not be able to fix it and to email them the receipt, which I have done now 4 times, they have just ignored my emails. I am now waiting for a response from Trading Standards to let me know what to do next. I would never buy anything electrical from ALDI again after this experience. I dont know how they have the gall to advertise products as having a 3 year warranty when in practice all you seem to get is a 60 day guarantee..
