A review of D:Licious Coffee & Sandwich Bar by Anonymous 2 written on Friday 21st of September 2012
I used to be a frequent visitor but only out of convenience. It is because it is “convenient” that they charge too much for what you get and what you get is not that tasty (my opinion obviously). The sandwiches have barely any fillings (fact. Not my opinion)and they cook the bacon (using the word “bacon” loosely as its actually ham in disguise. Trading standards issue here) in the microwave (fact), and I agree with “Anonymous” that I too received one piece of bacon (fact) but mine was in a stale roll (fact).
It’s disappointing that D:licious have responded to “Anonymous” with the accusation that they are a competitor, how can anyone compete you’re the only place on the Vision Park? Which is why you put outrageous margins on your goods and cream the profits from the time stricken business people who don’t have time to take a lunch hour… Even Dick Turpin wore a mask! Why not address the poor reviews by increasing your fillings and dropping your prices?
There is a saving grace though people… If you can get to Barker’s Bakery in Histon they have rolls and sandwiches a plenty along with other hot foods where you can dine in for a fraction of the price of D:licious and get service with a smile and change from a fiver. Failing that Victoria’s sandwich van comes around and you can hear her horn on most days.
We’re in a recession and I think that stinging people over the price of their lunch because you appear to be the only option is outrageous.
