"Disappointing food service"

A review of Golden Hind by terrible :o( written on Monday 2nd of April 2012

We pre-booked a table for 15 people for my Mother-in-laws 60th. The pub was quite busy and there was 1 barman on (it was a saturday night!!!) My partner waited at the bar for a good 15-20 mins to get served.

We all wrote down our food on a piece of paper for the waitress (hmmm, could she not write it for us?) About half an hour later the food started coming to the table. After 3 meals arrived, no more came???? The rest of us waited....and waited.... and waited some more. An hour later, still no more meals. We complained to the waitress and she said it wouldn't be much longer. Ten mins later..... still nothing. In total we waited for an hour and a half after the first meals were brought to the table til' the rest of us got our food. We got an apology from the manager but nothing else..... I now know 15 people who won't be visiting the pub again and will be telling their friends about the terrible service received on a special night out :o(.
