A review of Maharaja by Mr Butterworth written on Friday 4th of November 2011
I went to the Maharajah with my father on 4th November 2011 and I enjoyed it a lot. It is an authentic curry house with blue lights, traditional artwork and Indian music. We ordered a lamb Jalfrezi, a chicken Dupiaza, two Keema naans, two onion bhajis, some sag aloo, some dal and some puppadums with assorted chutneys etc. The food arrived on a trolley and was placed on the table on top of heated trays. All of the food was nice, especially the chicken Dupiaza and the sag aloo. The waiters asked us whether we were enjoying our meal numerous times. At the end, the waiter saying goodbye was very friendly. Some people described their Maharajah experiences in negative ways but I thought both the meal and atmosphere were of top quality..
