"Tracked item: "delivered" but not here was quickly resolved - thankyou"

A review of Royal Mail - Cambridge Sorting & Delivery Office by Robin Pain written on Tuesday 1st of November 2011

Today a parcel we were expecting from Amazon was marked as "delivered" at 7.00 am when it had never arrived here by 12.30 pm when I checked the tracking number.

I phoned the 08456 112305 number (in Cambridge) and "July" (I think was her name) took our number, and phoned us back within five minutes to say that the delivery office as now shut but that she had sent an email and would contact us again tomorrow morning.

Two hours later, a private car turned up with a member of staff of Royal Mail (I presume) who delivered the missing parcel by hand - so the delivery *was* made on the delivery date - thank you for sorting the problem so very quickly!

(we have previously had about a dozen other deliveries from Amazon by Royal Mail no probs).
