A review of The Haymakers by Valentina written on Wednesday 1st of December 2010
We saw it from the outside, saw the bands that would be playing that night. We were there to see a house nearby. We entered and it was cold (works being done) but so so cool. A cosy little lounge area with pics of music greats on walls, then the stage, still empty as it was afternoon, and a few scattered tables and a couple of couch areas: to leave space for when the band comes and you want to stand and listen. It was only afternoon and we only saw three patrons and the three of them were ALL interesting, the barman was as cool as can be and the food was yummy, the salad was even seasoned to perfection to an Italian that's no small thing and the ale we had was smooth and lush. All in all, that is the pub that's made us wish we would get that house we went to see... should we not get it, we're definitely make our way there from wherever we are..
