"Human beings or robots?"

How dare two employees deprive customers wasting their money on the lottery? Those employees "slacking" by having a conversation with customers is perfectly human and so is wanting to win big money and not needing to work presumably (no slacking expected on their part apparently).Perhaps this respondent can explain this contradiction?.
