"A bit hit and miss. Mostly miss."

Right, I'm going to try to be fair here as it's not all negative.

I Live down the road from the Black Horse and have been there 4 times since it reopened:

1st time, went on a Saturday lunchtime for some lunch. It wasn't that busy but took 1.5 hours to get a ploughmans which doesnt even need to be cooked! Beer wasn't great.

2nd time, went of an evening with a mate for some food. Got told we couldn't have any food as there was a party in. Party consisted of about 10 people so it was hardly busy! Could've at least offered us some chips or something. Beer was very good though, no complaints there.

3rd Time, went to their beer festival. Couldn't fault it at all.

4th time, went on a saturday afternoon. Not at all busy but landlord kept us waiting for 5 minutes while he finished his crisps then gave us beer which had blatantly gone off and short changed me.

As it's a local I'd like to support them and give them business but not sure I'd go back again. It seems a bit hit or miss and the landlord and staff don't ever look like they actually want to be there!.
