"Refund Refused for unused items"

I returned 4 rolls of wallpaper I had bought from Ravenside B & Q in Sussex because they were not needed.They cost me nearly £68 & as it was over 90 days since I purchased them, I said to the sales assistant Helen, that I was quite happy to accept an exchange as she did not want to refund my money.

I was told rather rudely & loudly in front of other customers that I was not entitled to a refund or replacement & she could not help me & I would have to take the wallpaper home with me as it was against company policy & if she made an exception for me, she would have to do the same for all the others!

I was very upset & tried to talk to her, but she kept repeating the same phrase " If I made an exception for you, I would have do do the same for all the others."

I was extremely embarrassed & upset at her abrupt & unhelpful manner& made to feel like a criminal.

My husband & I have spent thousands of punds at B & Q over the last 25 years & from now on we will be taking our custom elsewhere.
