"No idea if food was ok - we never got any!"

I went to this restaurant a couple of times a few years ago, and remembered it as a pleasant enough, unassuming place, with ok food. Going back the other night, however, my family and I were seated for a good 15 minutes before a waitress came up and told us (politely) that there were massive delays in the kitchen. We left, fuming slightly - I can cut them a bit of slack given that it was a busy Saturday night, but we won't be coming back. Largely, in fact, because it looks like the menu has been slimmed down quite a bit - my family are veggies, and while I remember there being a wide choice for us before, this time around it looked like we'd have to settle for asking for stuff minus the 'chicken, pork, or beef' (though obviously, we never got to try). What's wrong with having a few vegetable side dishes, at least? .
