A review of Russells by R Smith written on Monday 9th of November 2009
I'm not sure if anyone who'd actually rented a house in cambridge could write the above review. Russels charge a large number of fees including a compulsary one to renew the contract every 6 months to a year, (£70 iirc) fees on moving in, fees on moving out. There are agencies in this city which charge £100 (total regardless of number of tennants) reference check fee and nothing else, and have lower rents for equivalent quality properties. So how these work out the cheapest I really don't understand. for the land lord possibly.
I've not actually rented through Russels (due to the fees) but the people I know who have haven't had a particularly positive experience. They do seem to have a lot of properties, but unless you are desparate there are better deals to be had elsewhere.
I'm not going to name names so as not to risk sounding like an estate agent employee. Not that I'm insinuating that estate agent employees might write reviews on here. .
