Out of all the job agencies I've worked for in Cambridge, there are only two I have been impressed with, and Select is one of them (the other being Interaction Recruitment).

All the staff at Select were superb. They always made time to talk to their customers, and without exception gave a friendly and efficient service. Unlike certain other agencies I could mention (Blue Arrow), they always did what they said they would (e.g. paying me correctly, phoning me back when they said they would, sending timesheets on time, etc.) and were capable of communicating with each other (even when the person dealing with me wasn't in, the others always seemed to know who I was and why I was there).

On the one occasion when there was a slight problem with my tax, they immediately got on the phone to the payroll office to sort it out while I was still standing there, and seemed genuinely concerned about putting it right. Which, again, was something I haven't experienced with certain other agencies (Blue Arrow, in case you're wondering).

All in all, if you're looking for temporary work I'd strongly recommend Select, as they have excellent staff and excellent service. Oh, and did I mention that Blue Arrow are the exact opposite?.
