Patrick, I didn't actually say "the service staff are to hand over each customer to a relevant member of staff > then you said they deal with a variety of issues".

I said "the majority of B & Q

employees are polite, helful and go the extra mile

to help their customers." which, in my experience is true.

The service desk staff cannot be expected to know everything about every product in the store and their job is to find someone who does. Yes, that entails passing the customer to the correct department who have the knowledge to answer the question.

I imagine Lee Tyler did not go to the service desk, but directly to a department. He may even have stopped a member of staff in the aisle who had no knowledge of what he wanted help with.

I also said "I think maybe you struck unlucky with your choice of store/employee" which I stand by because, and I repeat myself, the majority of B & Q

employees are polite, helful and go the extra mile

to help their customers.

I object to you saying my argument is hypocritical because I can see no hypocrisy in my answer.
