A review of B & Q by Lee Tyler written on Tuesday 4th of August 2009
I recently visited my local B&Q Superstore for the third time that day having been given the wrong details by three diferent members of staff on returning I asked to speak to the manager, moments later a slovenly man approached with his hands in his pockets and his shoulders stooped and immediatley approached a memeber of his staff and said 'WHAT'S THE PROBLEM ?'' ignoring myself and my wife when he finally asked us what the problem was I asked him who he was and he replied a supervisor from the gardening departmentboth my wife and I began to explain, he then replied I STILL DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU WANT AS YOU WHERE BOTH BANGING ON! now I am sure you will agree, not the way to go on,now I am not here to slag B&Q staff off as I am sure they work extreemly hard but what appears to be the problem is staff training especially supervisors, when a customer comes with a complaint it's obvious they are going to be either annoyed or angry,so their approach is vital as are their first words as a smile goes a very long way to diffusing any situation, needles to say I for one will never visit a B&Q store again and would rather change my plans and ideas than tolerate rude behaviour from the likes of him,so if any store managers are reading this think very hard before giving individuals the responsibility of supervosory status your stores profits and your staff's jobs depend on it believe me!.
