Well the truth came out this week the case for the Guided over rail was flawed with the Dept for Transport for Cambridge showing how anti rail they actually were with a price guide of over £320 million to redevelope 13 miles of railway over the guided Bus now running at over £110 million. Figures released for March to Wisbeach about 12miles long at about £12million. So where does the the other £312 million for the Cambridge to St Ives route of the same length get spent? So was the Guided Bus adone deal even before the inspector held court? Perhaps we only need to look at how much Cambs County Council is anti rail. Look at all of the suggested station openings and not one has been done they are called fantasy options as this council does not even include such a mass people mover as part of its Local Transport plan. Its one of the biggest modes of getting into and out of Cambridge but obviously this County Council is against it.
