A review of Kwik Fit by Nicola written on Friday 26th of June 2009
Like many women in their 20’s I am always a bit apprehensive when I visit garages, especially since I drive a cheap old car so they could tell me anything was wrong with it and I have to believe them. But my experience at Kwik Fit was a great surprise. They were very friendly and when I told them that I thought my car was so old it may need to be scrapped they said that they would do the MOT first and call me so that I could decide for myself if it was worth going ahead with the service. To my amazement the car passed first time! This is obviously not down to Kwik Fit but they knew I was expecting it to fail so they could have easily charged me for a few things. The service picked up a few things that they said I may want to get checked out later and they told me which of these things would affect my next MOT (tires close to the limit etc) and which things it would still pass on even if I ignored them (washer reservoir leaking etc), but at no point did they try to push me to buying from them or booking it in to have the work done.
I know many people have had bad experiences at other Kwik Fit centres but I would not hesitate to take my car back to the one on Newmarket Road, Cambridge.
