"Popped jar lid of Rose's Lime Marmalade"

Love Rose's Lime Mamade -cousins brought us a gift of said mamade and noticed this morning the safety button was popped but jar had never been opened and was tightly sealed. Gift was brought from London to us in Florida on 24/5/09 and noticed popped top on 25/5/09. Is it safe to eat or should we discard?
