A review of Don Pasquale by Helen Selimi written on Thursday 23rd of April 2009
This place was packed on a sunny Easter holiday, so we figured the food must be ok! It was lovely, however more than can be said for the girl serving us. With an air of obvious annoyance that we mere customers should blight her day as we had so done, she reluctantly took our orders. I asked a simple and reasonable question pertaining to the menu ("does the salad contain onions...?", and her response was to roll her eyes and tell me "if it doesn't say onions in the description, there aren't any."
So I ordered and... low and behold, there were onions staring back at me!! I asked the same girl to take it back and she did so, then slung it back in front of me with a sarcastic smile and HALF the onions still there!
My fellow diners were appaulled at this service but my little boy was impressed by a kind man who gave him a lollipop at the counter as we paid.
I really have no idea why the proprietors of these places insist on employing such incapable staff!.
