A review of B & Q by Sam written on Saturday 11th of April 2009
The problem is Maria that the staff at B & Q do not know which customers are telling the truth and which ones are trying to pull a scam.
If two people bring a power tool back and both say it is broken, then how is the B & Q employee to know which customer is telling the truth?
I know that the staff do inspect the item very carefully and they compare its "wear" to the date on the receipt. If the customer does not have a receipt then B & Q have been known to be refused a refund. Also, no receipt, no cash refund... only a credit note.
All in all Maria, B & Q likes to trust their customers and they find that by having a good returns policy it creates goodwill. B & Q put a lot of store by customer service. The customer always comes first.
