A review of B & Q by Sam written on Tuesday 17th of February 2009
Firstly may I say that maybe your search term wasn't quite explicit enough? Sandpaper, as many of us know, is usually used by hand to smooth wooden items or to be used whilst decorating. I am assuming you were referring to sandpaper as an accessory to your newly bought electric sander. I have just been on the B & Q website and in their search function I typed "sander". I also altered the "sort by" price to "low-high".
Lo and behold I was presented with many "sandpaper" attachments to electric sanders. It really just takes a little time and thought to insert the correct search word into the website. It is not rocket science. Believe it or not I have had worse problems searching on google!!
I did take exception to your phrase " I did ask at the 'CUSTOMER lack of SERVICE DESK". All staff at B & Q put the customers FIRST. They go out of their way, especially on the Service Desk, to help every customer who comes into the store regardless of how the customers treats them! They take all sorts of negative behaviours from customers but always retort with a smile and an answer to questions. If they do not know the answer themselves (and I have to say, nobody can be an expert on every item in stores as large as B & Q) then they find someone who does.
Please give a little thought to the people you are criticising. They are human beings and they do their level best to help the customer in every way they can. They are not there to be abused, insulted or criticised. They have feelings!
