A review of Browns Restaurant by L Turner written on Sunday 25th of January 2009
The Good: Lovely atmosphere, quick service.
The Bad: The food - my husband had rib eye steak and I had beef wellington and both pieces of meat seemed to have been pre-boiled? The steak was just plain tasteless and my beef wellington had a piece of grey meat that was soggy, tough and again tasteless. Also I would have thought for nearly £16 they could have added some veg rather than the 3 boiled potatoes.
The Ugly: The toilets and the fact that even though there were bigger empty tables, we were crammed onto a tiny two seater table getting in the way of waiting staff.
It's a shame because it's a lovely place for celebrations but the food is unacceptably poor quality.
