A review of Holland & Barrett by Amanda written on Friday 23rd of January 2009
I went to the Eastbourne store the other day and was surprised by the range of products. I used to think they only sold supplements and vitamins, but they also have natural cosmetics and a great range of healthy food.
The quality of their food is really good, and I will definitely be going back as I love snacking on nuts and fruit rather than ordinary sweets. I bought some yoghurt-coated brazils (it was buy one get one half price on health food) and they are delicious.
Their range of vegan and vegetarian food is also very good and makes a nice change from the usual ones I used to get at Sainsbury's. Some people say it's more expensive but I found the prices very reasonable for the quality of food you are getting, especially when you go for the offers like 50% off or buy one get one half price. Also I found that the large packs of fruit and nuts are much better value than Sainsbury's.
I want to go back soon and get some cosmetics, they smell really good and are more natural on your skin which I always prefer! They seem to have a lot of other natural or health-related products like aromatic oils and the like, so perfect for people like me who don't like chemicals..
