"B&Q Wo'nt Let Me But Their Worktop!!!"

Could someone.....maybe from B&Q Head Office tell me why, having spent £7,000+, I can't buy the worktop from them just because I am not using their installer to fit the kitchen. I wanted to buy a granite worktop that would have probably cost in the region of £2,000 but the kitchen planner told me that some customers had said it was damaged in transit when they had in fact damaged it themselves when fitting it! I said what if a B&Q installer fits for me. Unfortunately its company policy to only let you purchase worktops when they install it!!! .......Not a very good company policy that lets them lose £2,000+ What's that saying "Cutting your nose off to spite your face"

Could someone from B&Q HO enlighten me?.
