A review of Bangkok City by Asian food fanatic written on Sunday 5th of October 2008
I am stunned to see so many good reviews of this restaurant, and can only assume that they come from people who have actually never had good Thai food. The Tom Yum soup we had was really awful. No lemongrass there at all as far as we could see. And you could hardly find the seafood under the pile of onions. Yes - onions!! We also had fish steamed in a banana leaf. This dish cost around 12 quid, contained quite a small amount of fish and was just nothing to write home about. The decor also verges on the tacky. We will never be back..
