"When is Primark Coming to Cambridge?"

Hi Ross, in answer to your question I contacted Primark some months ago to ask when Cambridge would be getting a store, they told me August 2008. Now that it's July 2008 I contacted them again asking why no work had been started on a new store and why there was no mention of Cambridge in their 'upcoming stores' section of their website, I have not yet received a reply. I would imagine that plans for a Cambridge Primark have been shelved, possibly by the University, after the recent child labour controversy. If this is the case then it strikes me as a bit of a spurious excuse as Cambridge has other shops that have a dodgy ethical history only these shops aren't considered 'bargain basement' and are therefore inkeeping with the Cambridge image. .
