A review of The Navigator by Rich written on Tuesday 29th of April 2008
Not worth the wait
I recently returned to the refurbished Navigator for a Monday night dinner having seen the seemingly impressive Thai menu on an earlier visit. Arriving at a moderately busy bar at 8.15pm and ordering food and drinks simultaneously, we proceeded to wait for an astonishing 90 minutes before our large portions of red Thai Chicken curry (swimming in far too much sauce) arrived with an accompaniment of overly hard rice.
Our frustration was mirrored by the couple on a nearby table, who had endured a similar wait, indeed they left after barely touching their main course. In short, avoid this place (unless you’ve got loads of time on your hands and a strong constitution) as the food’s not great anyway and certainly not worth the wait..
