A review of Maplin Electronics by Mike written on Tuesday 4th of March 2008
Once, when the dinosaurs roamed Maplins supplied bits an pieces for people who wanted to spent their time pottering about with a soldering iron.
But these folk have all but died off, modern electronics is much more efficiently done in a factory, and to keep going Maplins have had to go into toys, tools, and other tosh.
Good luck to them, say I. It a shame though, they no longer stock items that there's only a tiny demand for, but what can you expect? What do you mean you want a replacement 807 or 6L6?
As to the staff, I've found the Norwich branch invariably friendly and helpful. .
