A review of Mark Bury by Clare Lorenz written on Thursday 3rd of May 2007
Mark Bury, FRSA is a wonderful artist specializing in carving letters in glass, stone and slate. He is a master craftsman, with carved work in London's Westminster Abbey (Poets' Corner memorial to Edward Lear)and St Paul's Cathedral (Memorial to John Wycliffe) as well as memorial plaques for the Cambridge colleges.
He designs and carves beautiful mementoes, headstones, memorial plaques, glass tumblers, plates and bowls, sundials and statue plinths. His sculptures, often of the human form, reside in gardens and at pond edges.Whether seeking something personal, a memorial for a loved one, or a plaque to celebrate the opning of a building, this is the man to whom you should turn..
