A review of CB1 by Zhinka written on Thursday 8th of March 2007
CB1 is a place to hang out and read or talk (quietly!) You will never get hassled to leave. There is usually interesting music playing, and the hard core clientele are geeks and freaks (in the best possible meaning of both terms). The drinks are not the very best standard, but good enough for this instant-coffee-phobic reviewer. The atmosphere more than makes up for it, managing to accommodate a really wide range of people types under one roof. The staff are either trendy young things, or people you see at all the alternative events in Cambridge. It's difficult to imagine that the cafe makes money, but it is my favourite cafe in the UK to-date.
