To anyone who has read anything about how superdrug deal with the customers. In particular the gentleman who returned his camera and was treated like a criminal.
I am not a spokewoman for the company, neither am i a store manager, but i do work for the company {although i will with hold my name and which location i am based at}and do deal with the refund policy. Our rules simply are that only refunds are to be given with a valid recipet unless the item is damaged. If the product is a superdrug item you will be given an exchange/money back.If it is a product for example Loreal then you will only get an exchange.Damaged products are then sent back to the manufacturer if over 30 days of purchase.
Makeup/Medicine/Top ups are non refundable. If we fail to complete these simple rules it is quite simple that we could loose our jobs over it as many assistant managers/store managers/supervisors have done. After christmas is always a big hassle with refunds being processed left right and centre especially since only a select few members of staff have the privelledge to do so.I can only think of one reason why the member of staff in question could of come across rude and treated you poorly as she/he was probably thinking about the implications this might have on his/her job.
Though this does not excuse the behaviour im sure and i am deeply sorry that you have had to encounter such problems on what should be an enjoyable shopping trip with us.
Kind regards
Anon
