I've ordered now both online and in person from Furniture Village beside MFI in Cambridge and have to say I've had so far nothing but an excellent service. They're not cheap but their sales had good value - or maybe I'm one of the lucky ones?! But I agree about only going to reputable suppliers like John Lewis. I'll be returning to Robert Sayles when all the work is finished for my carpet purchase - for some reason a carpet showrooms on the same site as MFI measured me up as needing 5 sq mtrs more than John Lewis estimated I needed (wonder why?!)and tried to charge me accordingly!!
