"All round enjoyable"

I'm not sure why there are so many out of date reviews here but I'm not sure they give the restaurant the credit it deserves. I've only eaten here on a few occasions but I've never left disappointed. In my opinion this is one of the best of the mid-priced offerings in Cambridge. In a city which these days is dominated by homogeneous chain bars and restaurants this is a bit of an institution and one of the finest locations available. OK, so it's not particularly cheap but Cambridge is not particularly cheap either.

In my experience it's a very enjoyable place to spend a relaxed evening - good food, decent wine and, contrary to some of the other reviews, courteous & efficient service - I don't know many other restaurants in Cambridge of which I could say the same..
