A review of Red Bull by Grey Beard written on Friday 29th of September 2006
We called in as it was the nearest pub to my son's student accommodation and was immediately impressed by the atmosphere - wooden floors, beams, wooden tables, etc.
We were in between 8 and 9pm; it was not overly busy with about 3 or 4 tables free. The rest of the clientele appeared to be locals, and this is not surprising as it's a little off the normal tourist beat.
There was a good selection of beers and an excellent menu at fair prices.
The Boerwurs was second only to a trip trip to Pretoria. Service was good and the whole place comfortable.
If you're in the area and hungry and/or thirsty or you just want a decent pub, call in..
