A review of The Copper Kettle by Jane Park written on Wednesday 20th of September 2006
I have lived in Cambridge for many years and always walked past The Copper Kettle as it looked tired and in need of some loving care and attention. However, the other day I was passing and noticed that it has undergone a transformation. Gone are the old tatty cafe curtains and the neglected interior and instead there is now a very tasteful open view cafe restaurant. The owners have tried to keep the old Copper Kettle memories as there are some lovely old photos on the walls along with other interesting plates and kettles. I chose some lunch from the daily special board- some homemade soup and fish pie.It was delicious!you could taste the flavours and it was obvious that it WAS homemade. They have a very varied menu and I now Know that next time I2m in Cambridge I shall definately head for King's Parade and The Copper Kettle!!.
